Kolot Student Leadership Opportunities

Kolot Council:

This leadership and logistics track is for non-choir members that love to work behind the scenes! This group will focus on logistics, hospitality, and creativity. The Kolot Council will get to enjoy all of the music, programming, and food throughout the weekend while working with industry professionals to learn how to bring a vision to life. These professionals have diverse backgrounds including operations, finance, social media, and culinary arts and they are excited to share their knowledge with you!

The Kolot Council will have special leadership sessions and fun programming while choosing areas of interest to help with throughout the weekend such as production, social media, photography, video production, stage management, logistics, organization, and catering. The Kolot Council will have 3 zoom sessions before Kolot Hayam in order to prepare and to get to know their fellow council members.

Kolot Choir Reps:

This is an additional leadership opportunity for high school singers that are attending Kolot Hayam. This group of high schoolers will help to build our Kolot community by serving as choir liaisons and helping to create

bonding experiences throughout the weekend. We ask that each choir limit this opportunity to no more than 4 students.

What is involved?

  • Being a sounding board and helping to shape Kolot programming ranging from swag selection to snack selection!

  • 2-3 zoom meetings before Kolot

  • Helping to organize and increase student involvement in all programming including our Kolot Gameshow,  ice breakers,Senior Send-Off,  Friday night dinner missions, social media, and the Tefillah experience

  • Taking on a few fun leadership responsibilities throughout the weekend and creating the best vibe and the most hype for The Great Jewish Day School Choir Competition and Cafe Kolot!
